Zach holding a Trash Pack Series 6 Rotten Eggs 5 Pack |
The Trash
Pack collectibles are small squishy rubber figures which feature various forms of
trash. Each comes in its own container and the containers have varied by
series. For this series they each come
in a purple egg. I have given out single
packs of Trashies at Halloween for the last 3 years and kids –
seek out our house to get a Trash Pack for their Trick or Treat. The Trashies are cute and gross at the same
time – that’s why kids love them. Oh and
by the way, they were as popular with the girls as with the boys.
Although
some people (like my husband for example) think my office is a chaotic mess,
there actually is a very organized order.
My 4 ½ year old grandson, Zach, understands it. When something is waiting to be reviewed
soon, it is on my desk. It is usually
something newly arrived. If it has made
its way to the plastic container or bag under my desk it has “present
potential.” Sometimes there is something
on the desk though that is just too attractive to wait....
The other
day I received a review sample of the new Trash Pack Series 6 – Rotten
Eggs. Each trashie is in a purple
egg. They are pretty cool. Anyway, Zach visited and came up to my
office. He went to look over my desk and
was immediately taken with the trashies.
He picked up the package and came over to me. Here is our dialogue:
“What's this?”
“They are the new Trashies and since
they are in eggs I thought you would get them for Easter.”
“No – not for Easter.”
“Well when then maybe for your
birthday or the next time Pop gives you a haircut.”
“I want then now.”
“Well Zach you can have them if I can
take your picture with them.”
“Deal.”
Zach knows there are things in Grandma’s pile of goodies for his next haircut or some other event but he wasn’t willing to wait for the Trashies. We both couldn’t wait to see what was in those cute purple plastic eggs.
He quickly figured out how to open the eggs by squeezing them and as he opened each one we would look at the collectors sheet and find the Trashie and learn its name. There are 6 categories of “Rotten Eggs. They are:
